TRAUMA in the ER (I Mean Tanning Salon)

I went today to get my spray tan. This was a bridal shower gift certificate that my sister-in-law got for me. I was under the impression that I would be getting naked in a booth (ALONE), and having a machine spray me. Noooooo.....this spray was done by an individual. I realized this after she got off the phone with the lady who would be doing the spraying. I got tears in my eyes, immediately said no thank you, and ran out of the salon. I left my poor mom in there to pick up the pieces. My mom told them the story of how I'd lost a lot of weight, blah blah, and how I thought it was a machine. When my mom got out to the car, I was crying pretty hard.

My mom took me to another place across town where they have the spray on tan with a machine. It felt weird, but I am pleased with how it turned out. Unless I look really blotchy and nasty the next two days, I'm going back on Wednesday to have it done again. I really do appreciate my mom being there today to pick up the pieces of my self esteem. I really was bummed.

Aw, sweetheart, my heart felt that. :( If I were there, I would give you lots of hugs! I guess you'll have to settle for the cyber kind! ;-)

Aww, I am so sorry to hear this! Moms are so great with hard situations.

Not as hard as your situation, but I had a minor breakdown ... leggings + legs = sausage rolls. Tearfest. All I can say is baby steps!
