Almost 2014

Do you need an amazing book to read in 2014?  May I suggest Small Town, Big Miracle

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cake

Circus Animal Cookie Truffles
(I made these too large.  I should have done one tablespoon instead of two.)

I go back to work for teacher meetings on Thursday, and the kids come back on Monday.

Name Aliens

My students did the "Name Aliens" project from We Heart Art on Friday!  Here are a few of their designs.

Women's Fellowship Recipes

Crockpot Cheesy Tomato Beef

Crock Pot Cauliflower and Cheese

I like the appeal of this dish as not taking up room in the stove, especially as the holidays approach.  I did add some seasonings to it, because it was bland by itself.

Mini S'mores Pies

Pineapple Pink Lemonade Soda

Banana S'more Cookies

Second Chances

Harvest Cookie Cake

(What was SUPPOSED to be for dessert last night!  The loss of our guests will be the gain of the Sunday School class.)

Friends Over

We didn't have Friday night youth, so we invited a couple from church over to have dinner and watch Ice Age 3.  HH was making a cookie cake, but he didn't leave room for the cookie to expand.  The cookie fell off the pizza pan, and our oven started smoking.  We were furiously fanning out smoke five minutes before our guests were scheduled to arrive.

Cake Mix Apple Snaps

Orange Monkey Bread

Spaghetti and Meatball Soup

Care Package for Dad

My daddy turns 65 on Friday.  Last year, I made a batch of cookies up, and sent them to him by express mail.  He loved it.  I've been looking for a while trying to find "THE" recipe I wanted to use to make for his birthday cookies.
I was ordering spices from The Spice House, and I found this recipe...
Molasses Spice Cookies
Pumpkin Brownie Cheesecake Pie
Slow Cooker Wild Rice and Chicken Soup

Cookies and Snack Mix

We had a great two days in Bismarck.  It was nice to do city things.  HH even scored me a bottle of Peppermint Syrup from Starbucks!  We were supposed to go to the dentist today, but it snowed, and I wasn't going to risk the 90 mile drive just for the dentist.

We have house guests coming in this week.  That means we are doing last minute cleaning and small projects that we should have been doing for months.

I have gotten about 75% of my Christmas shopping done, so that is a relief.

Here are a few recipes that I made this yesterday:

Snickerdoodle Dulce de Leche Cheerio Cookies

Sweet Salty Cinnamony Pretzel Snack Mix
