THE DAY Has Arrived!!!

My wedding day is HERE! I cannot tell you how thrilled I am. The past fourteen months of knowing Ben have been so wonderful, I am looking forward to getting to know him over a lifetime.

The rehearsal and rehearsal dinner went off without a hitch yesterday. When I went to get my hair done yesterday she spent 45 minutes giving me a scalp treatment. I have always had psoriasis really bad, and she wanted to make sure that none of it would be in my hair in my pictures. I got many compliments on my hair (pictures will be coming soon, I promise!).

My sister-in-law was awesome in making sure that the rehearsal ran smoothly, since she has done wedding coordinating before. That was a huge help. My mom has been a little stressed, but overall things have run well. My friends Mandi and Penny have planned the itinerary for the last two days so that everything gets done. I am blessed to have such good friends.

I just finished printing out an insurance claim for the expenses that I racked up while staying at a hotel waiting for my air conditioning unit to be replaced, and I signed my name. I just thought, WOW....this is one of the last times I will sign my name that way. That is so crazy!

Ok, on to a weight related topic....THE SCALE. I am not taking it on the honeymoon. As a matter of fact, I have figured up that I will not weigh myself for seventeen days. This is a huge thing for me. I have weighed myself every single day (always first thing in the morning, and before bed....but sometimes many more times throughout the day, although I have really gotten better at only weighing twice a day in the last six months) since I had my WLS. While the scale has brought a great deal of anxiety in my life, in many regards it has brought a good amount of comfort too. By comfort meaning that I'm ok, and I'm not going to return to the weight of 393.6 pounds EVER AGAIN. This is going to be a good break for me, even though it will be difficult. I have a man who adores me, and I have my clothes to judge on how I am faring weight wise.

Off to get MARRIED!!! Look for a post Monday from our nation's lovely capital.
