Nesting

I am so nesting.  There is not a chance that I'm pregnant, but I am deep into nesting right now.  When I post the final pictures, ChiTown Girl will have to attest for everyone just how much better this place looks than our previous condo.  Everything doesn't go together perfectly, but I am darn sure making an honest effort to make things look amazing.  I am really working on the nitty gritty details of things.

Yesterday I made HH take four million boxes out to be broken down.  I then had him take all the boxes of surplus items from his mother to the shed.  We may at some point use them, but right now, they must be put away.  I put out four boxes at the end of the street.  I suspect those items will be gone by tomorrow from people stopping to look through them.  He got most of the bunk bed assembled last night.  I asked him to go to bed, since we are making a trip into "the big city" for my birthday today.

I found an alarm system company, and should have that set up within the next 7-10 days.  Most people around here don't have them, but you can't take the city out of this girl.  There are going to be many times when HH is gone later at night, or may be doing hospital visitation 90-180 miles away.  I don't want to be in a vulnerable position.  This security system is completely cellular, and I can download an app to my IPhone that allows me to alarm it away from home.

I've bought so many things off the internet, that I'm expecting a call from my bank any minute now to "review charges" just to make sure there is no fraudulent activity going on with our account.  I got our thermal underwear, a bedspread set for our guest bedroom, two more magazine subscriptions (Real Simple and Shop Smart), a dual-control three panel mattress topper heating pad (people around here say they don't usually sleep with them all night, but turn them on about an hour before going to bed so their bed is nice and toasty), two cookbooks, and paid for the security system setup.

WOW! You guys have been busy little beavers! I can't wait to see the pictures. :)

Can I be so bold as to inquire if that guest room is going to be a cat-free zone? You know that when I invite myself to come visit, it would be so much better for me. ;-)
