Reading and Cooking

Friday was staff development day.  It was a LONG day.  Fortunately, I was allowed to be in my room and work on things that I needed to get done.  I listened to a book on Audible:

It is pretty gritty, but talking about drugs, and is hard not to be gritty.  I'm trying to branch out and read more fiction.  Since fiction is not my "go to" genre, listening on Audible has made for a great chance to build fiction into my reading routine.

Funfetti Shortbread

Cake Mix Cookie Bars

Double-Delight Peanut Butter Cookies (Million Dollar Pillsbury Recipe Contest Winner)

My students LOVED these!

Chocolate Cherry Lush

Red Velvet Oreo Truffle Brownies

Tomorrow I took the day off so I could go get our taxes prepared.  I wanted to get it done before I head to Guatemala in April.

You're going to Guatemala!? Wow, how exciting. I apologize if you posted about it in the past. I've been a bit MIA in the Blogosphere lately. :(

I hope you and Ben are doing well. I was talking about you guys over the weekend. I was discussing Kentucky and how beautiful it is, how much I loved my visit, how great you two are, etc...

Miss you, Sister!!
