Happy Father's Day
I celebrated Father's Day with my dad and family today. I got this awesome idea from Nothing But Bonfires. Problem is, I found it on Saturday, so I had to scramble to make it work. I took a picture, but I didn't have my memory card in. It is on my camera, but I don't know how to transfer it to my computer. Thank you dad for 32 Years of Memories!
I also finished reading:
I'm over half the way through this book, and not wanting it to end:
The book isn't about weight loss, but I found this quote interesting:
"What I found, though, is that if you're not chasing one fantasy, you're chasing another. If it's not your body, it's your bank account, it's your resume or your nose or your boobs or your car or the perfect marriage or the perfect vacation or the perfect child. For two decades I believed that if I could just get this one thing under control, then the whole of my life would magically bloom like a perfect, lush flower. But to my great dismay, I realized that my life was still my life, and I was still myself, just in smaller pants."

On the Other Side
I had my plastics Monday morning at 6:00 AM. I had my arms and legs done. This surgery has been so much easier than the Lower Body Lift. I've been able to move around much better than last time. Everyone has said I seem to be in much better spirits this time around. I am happy that I decided to rent the recliner that helps me to stand up. I can't shower until Saturday though. :( If anyone wants to see my pictures from last year before my Lower Body Lift and one-year post op pictures, I'll be happy to email them to you.
I got to see lots of friends on Saturday. There was an end of the year party with people from my old school, and I went to that. I was quickly reminded how much I missed the spirit of "we are all in this together."
I brought these two desserts:
Nutella Muddy Buddies from Something Swanky:
I really botched the "drizzling" of the dark chocolate on these rice crispy treats.
Pistachio Rice Crispy Treats with Dark Chocolate from Shugary Sweets
This is a picture of my best friend Wendy at our usual restaurant we like so much...Bravos!
