My kids had to do a survey about middle school today. I thought that Tyrell's response was funny as I was reading through...so I took a picture of it. It is so easy to belittle people's worries, but when you step back and think this is the biggest change they have made in their entire life it is a bit easier to see.

This is one of the nicest hotels in our city. I am at a conference. I am the only elementary teacher that was selected for the conference. I am really glad for the break. It is very timely. Now is the time of year with school where everything seems to be in super fast forward mode.
I was feeling good and did a silly mirror shot.

Holy crap!!! That cheesecake literally made my mouth water! Did you make that, or was it the security guard? OMG, it looks incredible!!
That survey was precious. I loved all his answers. I'd like to hear about 'survivle' myself. It makes me a little sad, though, to see he's already worried about fitting in with the others.
Have fun at your conference. I'm a little jealous of your swanky digs. ;-)
