French Toast Sugar Cookies
These tasted just like the best pop tarts you could ever imagine.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake

(I forgot to snap a picture of it!)

Anniversary Cake

Our anniversary was last month, but I had my heart set on this cake.  The first availability for her to have the cake was August 23rd.  We celebrated our 5th anniversary again!

This cake is based on the love story of Carl and Ellie at the beginning of UP.  Watch the short story.

After lunch, we went to see The Giver and When the Game Stands Tall.

Dinner Party

We had dinner last week for three new pharmacists who have moved to town.

Snickerdoodle Apple Pie Dessert

Boston Market Cornbread
This cornbread was very sweet, and could almost be considered a dessert.  HH wants me to make it for his birthday next year.

Chicken Asparagus Pasta
(Awful picture of the leftovers!)

5th Anniversary

Last week my husband and I were able to go to a retreat for pastors and their wives.  It was with five other ministry couples, and about an hour and a half past Minneapolis.  It was a lovely haven of rest and retreat.
We celebrated our 5th anniversary in Minneapolis at Bank.  We had breakfast at a local place, that specialized in blueberry bacon cupcakes.  I have a special anniversary cake that I have ordered, but the lady was backlogged, and I can't get it until August 23rd.  I can't wait to show it!

Alaska Holiday!

We celebrated our fifth anniversary a bit early with a 7 day cruise to Alaska!  We flew into Seattle, and stayed a night there.  We had lots of yummy food, and I loved seeing the sled dogs.  We got to see humpback whales too.  Internet connection was ridiculously expensive, so we both were able to unplug to the world, which was very nice.
