Ok, I LOVE that you guys carved a SQUASH!!! That's hilarious.
I'm really feeling bad that I've given you a complex about your nails. :( Then again....they sell nail polish remover everywhere, including the grocery store! I'm just sayin'...... tee hee!
Your costumes looked great. I hope you guys had a good time at the party. Oh, and the cupcakes Ben made are adorable!!
Hi Tiffany and Ben,
just wanted to say hi and also comment about the difference we have regarding Halloween her in New Zealand.
Christians are very anti halloween here as most churches are totally against it due to its historical origins and pentecostal churches actively promote the message that it allows the spirit of witchcraft to enter a persons life so its quite taboo here. (for christians).
Its not really popular with secular society either, but this has changed a little over the past decade. I also work as a teacher in a school so there is normally 2 - 3 children who come to school saying they had been trick or treating, but out of 28 children there never seems to be more then 3 that go out doing it, so guess this would be an accurate representation of how many people in secular society participate.
Anyway, thought I would share the differences here regarding this as I think its intersting that Christians in America participate in it when it is very frowned upon here. lol
Anyway, have a good week.
PS: I wonder if there are things we do (Australia/New Zealand) that Americans have the opposite view on. mmmmm,,,, interesting thought.
