Oh come on! This is not the difference in this woman being able to provide her child ESSENTIALS, but things that we know can lead to childhood/adulthood obesity. I personally support the tax.
I think that the tax won't stop people who ultimately want the product, just look at cigarette and alcohol taxes. I remember having a high school friend swear that he would quit smoking as soon as cigarettes reached $2.50 a pack, and now he pays almost $6.00 for them, and still smokes the same amoun that he smoked back in the day.
