Tonight's Dinner was Brought to You by My MOM!

I hate cutting onions...HH doesn't like doing it, but will for me if the recipe calls for it (I often use onion powder instead).  My mom cut seven onions for this soup!

Vidalia Onion Soup with Wild Rice (Smitten Kitchen)
My dad loves vidalia onions, and I promised him I would make this recipe for him.  I wasn't able to do it while I was visiting, so tonight I made good on the promise.  HH said he was going to fake it that he liked the soup, because he is not an onion person, but he really enjoyed it.  Both HH and my dad went back for seconds.

Photo Session 3

Thank you all for looking at my pictures.  I just love them.  There will be a total of five posts!  :)  I am back into action with two new recipes tomorrow.  It feels good to be back in my kitchen, and actually feel like cooking!

Books I'm Reading

(This author gets ME.....there is so much I relate to.  After reading her Cold Tangerines book, I was eager to soak myself in Bittersweet.  I can't wait for her third book release in the fall.)

Nerdy work book, but very interesting.  :)
