Shopping and Cooking in the Morn!!!

I jumped out of bed this morning (at 4:50 am). This is due to the fact that I slept a WHOLE HECK OF A LOT yesterday. I mean A LOT. I feel really good. My day doesn't end until 9:00 tonight (GED class starting at a different location), so that is a good thing. Lets hope this energy thing stays on a roll.

I remembered this morning that I had been given a $150 gift certificate to Victoria's Secret for my wedding present from my in-laws. I decided to redeem that today by shopping online. I bought 6 sweater/long sleeve t-shirts, and a set of flannel pjs. I only ended up paying $17.10 from my checking account! Sweet! (I have gotten in the habit now before I buy things to type in the stores name and coupon into google. I have been very fortunate to find some great coupons that way. I found one this morning that gave me $30 off a $150 purchase, so I got $180 out of my $150 gift certificate.)

Pepperoni Pie Quiche

(I went ahead and made this this morning because I will be working until late, and I wanted to have good food to look forward to it. This is WAY better than the last quiche I made.) The picture alone makes me want to lick the laptop screen!

Pumpkin Pie Bars

I saw so many rave reviews of the pumpkin pie bars, I am hoping they do not disappoint. I will be bringing one for our security guard and custodian. I know the right people in my building to keep happy. :)
